BIB211 – NT Greek I

Koine Greek was one of the most common languages in the ancient world. It was primarily used from 333 B.C. – A.D. 330

It was the language of the entire New Testament. All of the NT Manuscripts in our possession today were penned in Koine Greek. There are a number of reasons to study Biblical Greek, here are a few:

  • It aids us in seeing the local color of the New Testament writings
  • It can help us to catch hidden meanings
  • It assists us in refuting false teachings that try to misuse the Koine Greek
